Bethanie Deeney Murguia earned a BA from the University of Rochester and an MFA in Illustration from the School of Visual Arts in New York City. While in New York, she worked as an art director for Hearst Magazines. These days she can be found in Sausalito, California where she lives with her family of messy sleepers and a 50-pound lap dog.
