January 2012: There is all kinds of news brewing; check back soon for updates. In the meantime, I am working on a companion book to Buglette. Snippet the Early Riser will be available from Knopf next Spring (2013).
January 2012: The 2012 edition of the Children's Writer's and Illustrator's market is available now and I'm quite honored to be included. See page 167 for my interview.
July 2011: Buglette the Messy Sleeper has been awarded an Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Best Book Award. Go Buglette!
July 2011: I am the runner up for the Don Freeman Grant this year. Thank you SCBWI—I think it's time to buy some new paintbrushes!
January 2011: My picture book, Zoe Gets Ready, has found a wonderful home at Arthur A. Levine Books (Scholastic)! Publication date: Spring 2012.
December 2010, Best of Show: My work was selected for the SCBWI Northern California juried holiday show at the Brick House Gallery in Sacramento. The show was judged by Kristine Brogno (Children's Design Director) of Chronicle Books -- I am thrilled and honored to report that my work was awarded Best of Show! The show features eight fantastic SCBWI illustrators and runs through December and January.
Buglette the Messy Sleeper: My first picture book, Buglette the Messy Sleeper, is slated for publication in May of 2011. Stay tuned for updates!
